The National Domestic Violence Offender Database was created to be a tremendous resource in the fight against domestic and family violence, stalking, cyber-stalking and sexual assault. These are crimes that until now have been hidden from public view by the victim and their abusers. Let’s face it, we all know someone who is now or has been a victim of this horrific epidemic. At best, because we are so ill-equipped to productively deal with domestic violence, most find it hard to offer any help at all to victims. We at the National Domestic Violence Database have worked hard and will continue to work hard to make sure that this database will continue to keep women, some men and their families safe and free from an abusive relationship before it’s had a chance to begin. Patterned after Megan’s Law (The Sex Offender Registry) we provide a comprehensive overview which contains the conviction records of offender who have been found guilty of domestic abuse, stalking, criminal confinement, intimidation, strangulation, domestic battery, sexual assault as well as criminal Orders of Protection and Restraining Orders just to name a few. We provide this data free of charge and to the general public. It’s time for all to date responsibly, know who your dating and what secrets lie in their past.
