Ohio Female Teacher Indicted on Sex Charges Involving Two Students

Julie Hautzenroeder, 36-year-old science teacher at Colerain High School, Colerain Township, Ohio, faces two counts of sexual battery after she was indicted for allegedly engaging in sex with two male students
According to a police report , Northwest Schools asked police on May 15 to investigate an allegation that Hautzenroeder had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. Hautzenroeder was placed on administrative leave shortly after that. Last Friday A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Julie Hautzenroeder on two counts of sexual battery. According to the indictment Hautzenroeder had sexual contact with two different students between April 26 and May 15 of this year. the alleged incidents took place at Hautzenroeder's home in Symmes Township.

The Northwest Local School District released the following statement on Friday:

On Friday, May 17, 2013, Julie Hautzenroeder was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into criminal activity. The matter was turned over to the local law enforcement authorities for investigation.

In light of the recent indictment, the Board of Education and administration will begin the next steps in the due process procedures. There will be no further comment at this time
